 Middlebury, Indiana - Woodland Park, Inc., a park trailer manufacturer based in Middlebury, Indiana, has been certified as a ''Green Capable Manufacturer.''
TRA Certification Inc., an independent third-party certification and inspection firm, recently completed an evaluation of Woodland Park's manufacturing facility and found their standard manufacturing methods to be "Green Capable" based on various green building initiatives.
According Dave Burroughs, North American Sales Manager of Woodland Park, ''TRA's Green Program has given our company credit for the superior job we are doing. Now we can show that our manufacturing practices include many of the green specifications sought after by our customers. We are proud to be the first park model manufacturer in North America to display the TRA Certified Green label on our park model homes.'' Burroughs adds, ''The materials we use in building our park models, the manufacturing methods, and our comprehensive waste material recycling all play a role in achieving this certification. We've made a great effort over the years to become an environmentally responsible company and now we have the certification to prove it.''
Anybody can say they offer a ''green'' product. They can even have it tested and certified as such, but it is who reviews the certification to ensure that the product is truly making a green contribution that is the key. TRA Certification, Inc. is an internationally accredited certifier of Quality Management Systems and is active worldwide. TRA participates in green building initiatives, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), NAHB (National Association of Homes Builders) and EnergyStar. To certify a company as "Green Capable," TRA reviews documentation verifying the company's green claims, including laboratory reports, test reports, product spec sheets, product literature, engineering and design specs, purchasing and manufacturing process data. Just as a note: Woodland Park was the only manufacturer displaying certified park model at the show. We displayed two park models that carried the first two certification labels for park models, serial number 01 & 02.
All of our park models have now been certified ''Green'' by TRA Certifications and all of our park models, U.S. & Canadian will display the TRA Certifications Green certification label; this will be located next to the entry door.
